Common questions

How do I know the Group and T-code for my process?
The Group (by gas or dust) and Temperature code follow directly from the chemistry present — the solvent, gas or powder and its ignition temperature. A qualified person sets the classification per CEC Section 18; we then match certified equipment to that classification.
Can you convert an ATEX-marked spec to Canadian-certified equipment?
Yes. Many pharma and chemical projects are specified with European ATEX or IEC Ex markings. We cross-reference each item to a CSA Class/Division-certified equivalent that will pass a Canadian inspection, and quote it.
